As a kid, their health is probably the last thing they think about. But the earlier that children start paying attention to what’s going on in their bodies and what they need to stay healthy and strong, the better off they will be. Although children can’t do much work for themselves, parents help them out a lot by making sure they have decent food to eat and plenty of fun activities to do. Fortunately, parents and children can work together to create the ideal atmosphere.
How Children Can Tap into Brain Power
The brain has different parts that interact together. The biggest and most thinking-related portion of the brain is called the cerebrum (such-REE-brum). It is the area of your body that manages your voluntary muscle movements – the ones that move when you tell them to – like when you’re walking, dancing, or playing sports. Additionally, it’s the one you utilize to store your memories and when you’re working hard to solve problems.
The brain stem is located in front of your cerebrum, beneath the cerebellum. It is what connects your spinal cord and brain. It manages all of the involuntary processes, including breathing, food digestion, and blood circulation, and it flows down your neck and back. Because it relays information between your brain and the rest of your body, it is known as the brain’s secretary.
